About
Will St Peter is a jazz guitarist and educator based in Moscow, Idaho. He serves as Lecturer of Guitar at the Lionel Hampton School of Music at the University of Idaho, where he teaches applied guitar and courses in the jazz studies program.
A dedicated performer for more than 15 years, St Peter has appeared across the U.S. as both a bandleader and sideman, sharing the stage with notable artists such as Ed Soph, Lynn Seaton, Vern Sielert, Quincy Davis, Steve Barnes, and Steven Heffner. He was a member of the renowned One O’Clock Lab Band, performing with acclaimed musicians including Miguel Zenón, Chris Potter, Allison Miller, and Gregg Bissonette. His playing is featured on Lab 2023 and Allison Miller’s Big & Lovely.
In 2021, he released his debut album Honestly on OA2 Records—a trio project with Steven Heffner and Steve Barnes that received national and international radio play and critical acclaim.
St Peter holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz Guitar Performance and a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Maine.
